Any vegetarian worth his or her salt knows that there's no reason why a menu shouldn't be completely vegetarian.  Each day, we'll take you through the various stages necessary in preparing a vegetarian starter, main course and dessert.

But a vegetarian cooking course in France..?! 

Surely some mistake!  France, self-proclaimed cradle to meat-eating mankind is stuck in a protein-heavy rut, a meat-stuffed log-jam, a carnivorous snarl-up.

To find a vegetarian in France would be like getting a lion to say "Hey, do I really need to eat venison tonight?".  France is to vegetarianism what politics is to integrity, but - and it's a big 'but' - it is changing, albeit slowly.

A change clearly has to take place...

If you, as a vegetarian, can cook dishes that will win-over even the staunchest carnivore, then vegetarianism will be more acceptable to a wider audience. But, according to our English chef, it's not about re-inventing sausages, knitting soya burgers or serving courgette lasagne.

No. It's about buying fresh seasonal produce, choosing organically grown ingredients, and gaining a knowledge of how to build a satisfying, varied, good-looking plate of nutritious popular food!

At Cookinfrance we run 5 day/5 night residential vegetarian cooking holidays as well as 1, 2 & 3-day vegetarian cooking courses.

RETURN AIRPORT/RAIL TRANSFERS:
We pick you up in our own seven-seater vehicle each Monday afternoon and drop you off the following Saturday morning. Destinations include Limoges airport, and Brive la Gaillarde and Sarlat train stations (see details of our airport and rail transfers).

If you want a transfer at another time or on another day, please EMAIL US or Tel: 0033 (0)553 302405 in order to discuss the possibilities.

Transfers are conducted on a first come first served basis. Detailed dates and times are to be agreed with us prior to booking your travel arrangements, so please do not book tickets until you've agreed them with us.

ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation is normally on-site, but, under exceptional circumstances, 1 & 2 day guests may be accommodated at a very pleasant nearby B&B 5km away.

NUMBERS:
The optimum number of participants on a course is six, but sometimes we have fewer than that and have occasionally taken up to ten.

ITINERARY:
The itinerary may be subject to change according to the seasons and local weather and is variable in order to take advantage of regional festivals and holidays.

We are English-speaking and our prices include everything you'll need on a residential vegetarian cooking course - all you have to do is get here. And because of the proliferation of cheap flights and tumbling ferry prices your vegetarian cooking course in France represents great value for money.

We'll even pick you up and drop you off at our nearest airport (Limoges), or the train stations at Brive and Souillac, all of which have Hertz and Avis car rental outlets on their doorstep.
