All you need to bring with you is a sense of fun and an eagerness to cook.
Take a short two day break away from having to cook for the family, and learn to enjoy cooking for its own sake. Rekindle that old culinary flame, perhaps picking up some new tips, tricks and skills along the way.
You do not need to be an experienced cook as the two-day cooking course can easily be tailored to your own skill level and interest in food.
On the one-day cooking course you will learn to cook local Dordogne dishes like: Magret de Canard Poêlé (pan-fried duck breast); Pommes Sarladaise (potatoes, onions and garlic fried in goose fat - though we prefer olive oil); Garlic and Bread Soup; Chocolate and Walnut Tart; Tarte Tatin (caramelised upside-down apple tart); Crème Brûlée (vanilla custard caramelised with a blowtorch) and many more.
On the two-day cooking course we venture away from the Dordogne to cook dishes from the Mediterranean and Provence such as: Bouillabaisse (fish and seafood stew); Moules Marinières (fresh mussels served in their own liquor); Orange and Garlic Studded Leg of Lamb; Oven-dried Plum Tomatoes; Basil Ice Cream (yes, really!).
You can stay overnight in our superb accommodation.
